NEC Safety Program
New Earth Contracting LLC, (NEC) is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for its employees and subcontractor alike. Employee safety and health is a core business value and we are committed to continuous improvement. We feel strongly that working safely is everyone’s responsibility and must be incorporated into every task we perform. NEC’s policies provide a foundation to our safety program and provide documentation of the variety of engineering controls, administrative controls, and work practices that NEC implements to keep our employees injury-free while performing work activities. These documents are valuable resources for employees to understand what is needed to maintain safe work environments and provide the means to demonstrate compliance with safety regulatory requirements.
To maintain a safe work environment, NEC has established a program that promotes the following objectives:
- Reduce the risk of injury and illness and prevent the loss of life.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and other applicable safety regulations.
- That our employees are responsible for their own safety and the safety of our fellow employees.
Our safety program can only be effective if it is supported broadly by everyone, including NEC employees, subcontractors and clients. A safe and accident-free work environment is accomplished by a dedicated, concerted effort by everyone. If everyone works together to promote safety and take every reasonable measure to assure safe working conditions in the office and field, we will achieve our objectives. NEC employees are empowered to stop their work activities if an unanticipated hazard is encountered or a potential unsafe condition is observed. If any unsafe act or behavior persists, we are committed as an organization to address and eliminate the issue.
Since its inception in 2019, NEC has maintained an exceptional safety record. We provide the safest possible workplace for all of our workers and subcontractors. NEC views safety with the utmost priority. We create site-specific safety programs for each project, carefully tailoring design and construction to allow for efficient emergency preparedness and practical evacuation plans.
Our dedication to maintaining the highest health and safety standards includes consistent implementation of the following measures:
- All site supervisors carry OSHA 30-hour Safety Training Cards and have taken a Fall Protection Program
- All on-site workers carry OSHA 10-hour Safety Training Cards
- We implement detailed safety checklists and require safety training on a regular basis
- Daily and Weekly tool box meetings are held on all projects
